Saint Boniface
ABOUT
Saint Boniface Brewing Company opened its doors on February 2, 2011, launching what would become Lancaster County’s first production nano-brewery. Originally located in the Donecker Artworks building on North State Street in Ephrata, the brewery quickly drew craft beer fans eager to sample Hegemony Stout—the lone beer on tap opening night—through tastings and growler fills.
In early 2013, Saint Boniface relocated to its current home on West Main Street in Ephrata, where renovations paved the way for expanded production and an on-site taproom. By June of that year, full pint sales began, followed shortly by the opening of the complete taproom space. Continued growth led to major production upgrades in 2014, including a move to a 15-barrel brewhouse and the addition of a canning line, allowing Boniface beers to reach a wider audience across Central Pennsylvania.
That same year, the brewery launched Bonifest, an annual celebration held in honor of St. Boniface’s feast day, featuring beer, food trucks, and live music—a tradition that remains a highlight for the local community. In 2016, Saint Boniface expanded further with the addition of an in-house kitchen, offering food to complement its lineup of beers.
In May 2024, Saint Boniface Brewing Company entered a new chapter under the ownership of Pour Man’s Brewing Company. With a shared commitment to quality and community, the partnership has strengthened production and distribution while continuing to brew the beers that Boniface fans know and love.
